Amritsar, 28 December 2025 — The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) organized a large Nagar Kirtan from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to mark the Prakash Gurpurab (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. The event was celebrated with deep devotion and participation from the Sikh community.  During the celebrations, religious processions and kirtan (devotional singing) took place, and the sacred Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was carried under a decorated canopy through the city streets. Devotees joined in chanting “Satnam Waheguru” and offered prayers in homage to the Guru’s life and teachings.  The SGPC also organized various Gurmat programmes in remembrance of the sacrifices made by the Sahibzadas (Guru’s sons) and Mother Gujri, inspiring today’s generation with their extraordinary courage and devotion.  These events reaffirm the Guru’s timeless message of justice, righteousness and selfless service, echoing his teachings of spiritual strength and moral courage.
