Darbar Khalsa is an important historical assembly of the Sikh Panth, traditionally held on the day of Dussehra at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar. Its origin goes back to the time of the Tenth Master, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who established it as a gathering of the Khalsa. On this day, the Khalsa would deliberate on crucial matters of the Panth – including decisions on governance, religious directives, social reforms, and collective strategies. It functioned as the supreme assembly of the Khalsa, representing the united will of the Panth. Even today, Darbar Khalsa serves as a reminder of Sikh unity, strength, and the glorious heritage of collective decision-making.
