Gurgaddi Diwas Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji

The Sikh faith is a universal path for all humanity — a spiritual way that is not limited by country, caste, language, or region. Anyone who follows the principles of Guru Nanak Sahib can attain union with the Divine, no matter where they live. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was not only a spiritual master, but a revolutionary thinker whose message was relevant for all eras and all people. For 332 years after him, nine successive Gurus nurtured and strengthened his mission. The Tenth Guru — Sahib-e-Kamal Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the divine light of Guru Nanak — transformed Sikhism forever. In just 42 years of life, he: Established Sikh identity and discipline, Founded the Khalsa, a saint-soldier devoted to righteousness, Ended the tradition of human Guruship and bestowed eternal Guruship upon Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Khalsa is both spiritually enlightened and ready to defend justice. Its victory belongs to the Almighty: Khalsa is the Army of the Timeless One; The Khalsa is the manifestation of God's Will. Despite witnessing the martyrdom of his four sons with his own eyes, Guru Gobind Singh Ji remained in complete acceptance of God's Will. His words reflect ultimate devotion: Tell the Beloved Friend the condition of His disciples: Without You, the comfort of silken quilts feels like a disease, and royal palaces feel like dwellings of snakes.
