Guru Sahib’s sacred body was left lying at the execution site, guarded tightly from all sides. A devoted Sikh from Anandpur Sahib, Bhai Jaita Ji, was in Delhi at that time. He had made a firm vow that he would take Guru Sahib’s holy body to Anandpur Sahib. Late at night, he carefully avoided the guards’ eyes, picked up the sacred body, wrapped it in a cloth and quietly escaped. Travelling with all his strength and determination, he reached Anandpur Sahib. The Tenth Master, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, was deeply pleased by Bhai Jaita Ji’s bravery and courage. He embraced him and announced the beloved words — "Rangreta Guru Ka Beta" Mean “Ranghreta is the son of the Guru.” Guru Sahib’s sacred body was respectfully cremated in Anandpur Sahib. 👉 Please share this post so that more brothers and sisters stay connected with our history — this too is a form of seva.
