Marking the 350th Shaheedi Centenary, the grand Nagar Kirtan journeyed across different cities and reached Moga amid great devotion.

Moga/Patiala — On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the city of Moga witnessed a historic spiritual moment today. The grand Nagar Kirtan, which began from Faridkot, reached Moga amid deep devotion. Thousands of devotees stood on both sides of the roads to welcome Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Panj Pyaare and the procession with utmost reverence. Flower showers, langar seva and the soul-touching shabad kirtan filled the entire city with peace and devotion. Although the administration had announced the arrival time as around 3 PM, the Nagar Kirtan reached Moga Bus Stand at about 11:30 PM. Yet the enthusiasm of the devotees did not fade — thousands waited from afternoon with love and devotion, and the moment the Kirtan entered the city, the air echoed with chants — “Bole So Nihal… Sat Sri Akaal!” The Moga administration made exemplary arrangements regarding traffic, security, lighting and sanitation, for which devotees expressed gratitude. Public representatives and administrative officials including MLA Amaninder Kaur Arora, MLA Davinderjit Singh Ladi, MLA Amritpal Sukhanand, MLA Manjeet Singh Bilaspur, DC Sagar Setia and SSP Ajay Gandhi welcomed the Nagar Kirtan with the Moga Police Band. 🔸 Nagar Kirtan welcomed in Patiala Similarly, the Nagar Kirtan that started from Sri Damdama Sahib (Talwandi Sabo) reached Patiala’s Leela Bhawan Chowk today. Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli and district officials warmly welcomed the spiritual procession. Dr. Balbir Singh shared that devotees from across India and abroad, along with religious leaders of various faiths, will participate in the upcoming “Sarv Dharma Sammelan”. The purpose of the session is to spread Guru Sahib’s universal message of love, peace, justice and religious freedom across the world. He added that Guru Sahib’s supreme sacrifice united people of all faiths — and today, when hatred and division continue to rise globally, the message of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is the need of the hour.
